Hydroxypropyl Starch Ether (HPS) is a modified starch ether produced from natural plant-based materials through high-degree etherification reaction and spray drying. It is a white fine powder, free from plasticizers, and completely different from ordinary starch or modified starch.
HPS provides rapid thickening, good water retention and excellent construction performance. It is widely used as a cost-effective additive in dry-mix mortars, allowing significant reduction of HPMC dosage while maintaining superior performance.
Rapid Thickening Fast thickening effect with good water retention, achieving significant results at very low dosage. | Low Dosage & High Efficiency Recommended dosage of only 0.05% - 0.1%, effectively reducing HPMC consumption. | Improved Performance Enhances crack resistance, anti-settling and working performance while extending open time. |
HPS is an excellent additive for cement-based, gypsum-based and lime-based products:
Putty Powders Ideal for interior/exterior wall putty powders of cement, gypsum and lime bases. | Tile & Stone Adhesives Suitable for various tile and stone adhesives, improving bonding strength. |
Decorative & Plastering Mortars Used in various decorative mortars and plastering mortars with excellent compatibility. | Combined with HPMC Works synergistically with HPMC for thickening, internal structure, crack resistance and easier construction. |
