1.The use of HPMC with a high degree of substitution can improve and control the properties of water-based coatings. 2.Various viscosity hydroxypropyl methylcellulose coatings are excellent in abrasion resistance, high temperature resistance, bacterial degradation resistance, washing resistance and stability to acid and alkali.

3.HPMC with high degree of substitution has better resistance to bacterial attack than low degree of substitution, and has better viscosity stability in polyvinyl acetate thickener. Inappropriate cellulose ethers reduce coating viscosity during storage due to cellulose ether degradation.
